Job Description:
Structures Technician should be able to troubleshoot, inspect, and perform maintenance on customer aircraft
structural components. Perform and document all work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as
required.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Adhere to General Work Requirements
- Comply with environmental health/safety policies/procedures, perform work in a safe and timely manner
- Remove/install aircraft components as required
- Fabricate and or modify structural modifications on aircraft parts
- Perform structural repairs on components either attached or detached
- Assist in conducting hidden damage inspections of aircraft structures
- Assist with complex structural repairs either on or off aircraft
- Operate ground support equipment as required
- Assist with aircraft component repair
- Perform mechanical/electrical removals and installations as required
- May be required to assist with maintenance at off-site locations
- May be required to assist in additional maintenance as required
- Inspect confined areas of the airframe
- Must be able to Fabricate sheet components
- Be able to use chemical lubricants, solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, paints, and
special finishes
- Inspect work for quality and check for Foreign Object Debris
- Use drills and high impact vibratory tools (bucking, riveting), in addition to screwdrivers, power
screwdriver, C-squeeze, ratchet wrench, nut runner, torque wrenches, crimpers, cable tools and
various other hand tools
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of structural sheet metal repair/modification experience
- A Certification, or A & P Certificate or Repairman Certificate
- Completion of Sheet Metal A/C Tech School or Equivalent Schooling
- Ability to interpret and work with mechanical drawings.
- Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form on individual and/or aircraft status.
- You must own tools with the ability to demonstrate Inventory & Control of Tools
- You must be able to work unscheduled overtime including nonscheduled workdays.
- You must have basic PC Skills
